Hi everyone,
I am sure all of you who attended last night’s Zoom meeting will want to join me in thanking Izzy profusely for sharing her story with us. Izzy spoke so eloquently about the ups and downs of her recovery journey, and how powerful and motivating it was for her to learn about the biology behind her illness. We didn’t get through all the questions so Izzy has kindly gone through them and provided her answers. I am attaching the script from Izzy’s talk plus excerpts from the Q&A. We also hope to upload a video of Izzy telling her story to the website at some point.
Izzy has sent us this message this morning – “I also want to say a massive thank you to you both for giving me the opportunity to share my story. I am extremely overwhelmed by all the lovely messages that are coming in and it makes me feel hugely proud of where I have got to. I just hope that each carer can take something from my story to help their loved ones get there too.”
Izzy is also happy for me to include her email and welcomes any contact from carers and/or their loved ones. izzycloke999@gmail.com
I have included the resources that Izzy mentioned last night below. At the end of this email I also remind you of forthcoming workshops that still have availability. There is so much demand at the moment and we will continue to endeavour to support as many families as we can through these difficult times.
